Entry Requirements
There are no formal qualifications required to join this course. Learners will complete an initial assessment to ensure they are enrolled at the appropriate level. You should have a willingness to learn and regularly attend classes. Basic English skills are recommended as learners will need to read instructions and complete written tasks.

What you will learn
You will develop practical digital skills that can be used in everyday life, education, and the workplace. Topics may include: - Using digital devices safely and effectively - Managing files and folders - Using email and online communication tools - Searching for and evaluating information online - Creating and editing digital documents - Understanding online safety, security, and privacy - Using digital tools to solve problems and complete tasks The specific content will be aligned to the Gateway Qualifications Digital Functional Skills qualification standards for your level.

How you will learn
Learning takes place in a supportive classroom environment with guidance from an experienced tutor. Lessons include practical activities, demonstrations, individual tasks, group discussions, and hands-on use of digital devices. You will have opportunities to practise your skills regularly and receive feedback to help you progress.

What will you need to bring
You should bring a pen, notebook, and any reading glasses you may require. Access to a personal digital device such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone can be useful for practising outside of class, although equipment will be available during lessons where required. Your tutor will advise if any additional materials are needed.

How you will be assessed
Assessment is through a combination of practical tasks and formal assessments set by Gateway Qualifications. You will demonstrate your ability to use digital skills in realistic situations and complete activities that meet the qualification requirements. Your tutor will provide support and feedback throughout the course to help you prepare for the final assessment.

Where next?
After successfully completing this qualification, you may progress to the next level of Digital Functional Skills, other Functional Skills qualifications, vocational courses, apprenticeships, or further education programmes. The skills gained on this course can also help you improve your employment prospects, support career progression, and increase confidence in using digital technology in everyday life and the workplace. Entry Level 3 learners may progress to Digital Functional Skills Level 1.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
